Cloud Nine Camping is a peaceful forest retreat tucked among tall pine and oak trees, far from the noise of the highway and surrounded on all sides by the quiet beauty of the Black Hills National Forest. Guests love that they can step right onto hiking trails from the back side of the property, wander through the trees, and spot wildlife like deer and turkey moving quietly through camp. It’s a place built for slowing down, reconnecting, and enjoying the outdoors without stress.

Even though we’re off the beaten path, we’re still close to everything travelers want to explore. We’re 10 miles from Mount Rushmore, 5 miles from Custer State Park, 15 minutes from Keystone, and about 30 minutes from both Hill City and Custer. Sturgis and the Badlands are each about an hour away, making Cloud Nine the perfect home base for your Black Hills adventure.

We offer a variety of stays to fit every style of camper — glamping yurts, on‑site camper rentals, RV sites, and tent sites tucked beneath the trees. Each site is unique and spacious, never the cookie‑cutter layout you find at highway campgrounds.

In addition to what’s in the Amenities tab, there’s also frisbee golf, volleyball, and cornhole waiting for you.
